Dale, as you will note, we would have returned your call as we do pride
ourselves on answering the phone and returning messages.
I don't think you left your telephone number when you contacted us. Since we were
not able to get in touch with you personally -and I just found your "public"
comment in our guest book, I thought I would respond to you so that perhaps you will
be aware of what happened. Also, we normally don't delete comments from a guest log...so I
hope you will have the opportunity to read this response.
I would like you and our clients to know why you found a fax machine on our
voice line.
Our voice mail system was being filled up to capacity because someone was trying to fax
to our voice number. This caused our voice mail system to fill up repeatedly over the last
few days.
The only way we had to deal with the problem, was to activate our computer
controlled
fax and allow it to answer on the voice line so we could find out who was sending the
faxes.
After identifying who was spamming our voice mail system (3 different companies and none
were
mlm companies - I might add), we contacted the parties and it is no longer a problem.
We don't operate in a closet. We try to be available when our clients call. Along similar lines, if someone happens to get our voice mail during normal business hours, it's usually because the call rolled to voice mail as the lines were in use as we are talking with a customer(s).
In short, we think the customer is always right...so, thank you for letting
us know about the problem and I hope that we can be of service to you in the future. Also,
we do return our calls when someone happens to get our voice mail. However, it is easier
to return a call when the caller leaves their name AND phone number.

Your page "All About Us" doesn't seem to tell anything much about the business. In order to gain potential customers' confidence, you should give more information about the business, such as the address, length of time the business has operated, and names of person(s) that can be contacted in case of problems.

Thank you for your comments regarding the "All About Us" page. We tried to strike a balance between essential information and info that might not be necessary. Responding to your comment, we have been in business in one form of another, since 1992. In May of 1998, we decided to ramp up our presence and offer the website. Our background is really in small business.
As a person with a small business background, I have made sure that we as a
company are attuned to the needs of our clients. Our staff, will foward any problems
directly to me. I prefer that our clients contact me directly, either by email at donh@leadlists.com or by phone. We try to
expedite all orders and ship by Priority Mail to minimize delays. Our address, etc. is
posted on the Website in several places. Even so, I think your
suggestion about placing the contact info, etc. on the "All about us" page is a
good one - thanks!

Your green text on green background is very difficult to read. Some contrast is necessary to make it easier to read. I think we're always looking for sources of new leads and it sounds like you have a good approach. Your guarantee is strong! I wish your page had detailed wheather these are peal and stick labels or just computer printout sheets.

I am ready to do business on the telephone. I'm hoping that people connections are going to make a difference in my sales. Dr. Jacqueline and I are in the Wellness Business.. We represent an established 15-year-old company and are always on the look out for serious business partners.
Thanks to the quality names we bought from LeadLists.com by Advantage Publishing Services in February 2001, our business growth and profits have sky rocketed! In January, we had 25 direct customers and our check for that month was a little over $300.00. For the month of February we earned $623.00 our earnings more than doubled to $1400.00 for the month of March! I'm expecting our April check to be some where between $1800.00 and $2500.00. In our business we are approaching 100 total customers in our entire organization, most of which came from the lead list we bought from APS!
Over the past few years, we have used list from My Prospects software, lists from Opportunity Seeker Magazine ads and we have bought online targeted mailing advertisement over the Internet. These lists and ads, cost more $$$ than what APS charges and they all were "NO GOOD"! We had ZERO success in using those lists. We did NOT get one quality lead from the money wasted in the investments to advance our business. The online Internet mailing company add we bought was also just as bad as the terrible list we bought.
We worked the names on the list bought from APS just like we worked names from previous list bought from their competitors. We are very satisfied with the quality of names and results achieved from the APS list.
We are still working leads developed from the February list as I write this note about our phenomenal growth and success through results achieved using the list from APS as a tool to move our business forward.
At the same time we bought the APS list, we began an experiment with an Internet online Opt In prospecting system. We are still using that system.... In 3 ½ months of comparing the APS list with the online prospecting system, at this time it's a NO CONTEST!
Before you make the mistake of wasting your money on something that does not work, let's talk! If you want to use something that does work, USE THE LEAD LIST SERVICES FROM APS!
Other than the money we are making from our investment of time and money spent on the quality list we're using from Don and APS, we are getting paid nothing for telling the truth.

APS offers mailing lists with name, address, and optionally telephone numbers. The source of our lists are opt-in leads...that is to say, people who have opted in online and have requested information relevant to areas of their interests. In particular, we specialize in making the Entrepreneur category of names available to our clients.
Through our elist partner company, we offer a turnkey opt-in email service that takes care of absolutely everything including assistance with your ad copy, the actual broadcasting of your ad, and tracking of results. Regarding the company you found that actually sells email addresses - look out! I can categorically state that no reputable list source will sell you the actual opt-in email addresses but rather will offer a service that actually sends your email message for you. Think about it - if you provided opt-in email addresses, would you sell the email addresses to anyone knowing that the address owners could conceivably receive mail multiple times from sources you couldn't identify. You'd be out of business in no time. So, if you buy the actual email addresses from anyone, you're not getting opt-in email addresses but rather email addresses that are harvested from web sites and most likely from Newsgroups.

It is practically impossible to identify real opportunity seekers unless they opt-in. If you buy opportunity seeker email addresses, they are simply email addresses that are extracted from web sites and news groups as a rule. Many people dislike receiving unsolicited email or spam and some take great pleasure in over- reacting by complaining to your dial-up service provider (ISP). Rabid anti-spammers generally have no life and enjoy attacking clueless newbies - that's why they are sometimes referred to as anti-spam NAZIS. They can usually track you down through the IP address in your email headers and will report you to your ISP and other organizations. They take great delight in making life difficult for habitual spammers. If you violate your ISP's terms of service by sending SPAM one time, you can be disconnected and even be liable for damages! So my advice is to avoid buying the actual physical email addresses unless you have software that totally hides your identity...most software does not hide your identity contrary to the claims of the people who sell the software. Products that do not hide your identity include Desktop Mailer, Email Magnet, Extractor-Pro, Net Contact, etc.

can extract names using criteria that you specify. We'll include names from
whatever area code or zip code prefix you are interested in and will pull names
from up to four States without any additional charge. Our names are the most
recent names available and they are 100% opt-in names.
If you're marketing needs require that all of your names come from specific zip
code area(s) or just a few area codes, we can request a record count from our
service department and see how many records are available in your target areas.
If you need to obtain names in quantity that are limited to a small geographic
area or you have some other unique requirements, a special order may be called
for. Please note that special orders are subject to a minimum order quantity of
5,000 names. Obviously this will cost more that if you order from our current
database.
